Field Trips
Transformative Experiences
Follow the path where ancient wisdom and thriving Indigenous culture guide the way. At the Museum of the American Indian, classes will discover traditional ecological knowledge, explore the beauty of Miwok Park, and trace traditions rooted in this Coast Miwok land. Students can observe the kotcha village, try their hand at jewelry-making or acorn processing, and discover the symbolism of vibrant regalia. Along the way, they’ll witness traditions thriving in the present day through encounters with knowledge keepers and cultural bearers. Every step builds connection, understanding, and respect.
