Topics of exploration: Angelica, Manzanita, Elderberry, Cow Parsnip, Monkey Flower, Mugwort, Larkspur, Bleeding Heart, Wild Iris; 4 sacred herbs given by Grandfather and the Grandmothers were sage, cedar, sweet grass, and tobacco; magic and medicine.

The UC Environmental Stewards California Naturalist course teaches science, hands-on learning, problem-solving, participatory science, and volunteer service to foster a love for California's natural communities and encourage stewardship.
